Quite obviously, the name for this bed comes from Isaac Asimov. In his straightforward, unencumbered prose, he was able to outline a relatively beautiful future in a very simple way. It was he who lay much of the groundwork for how we think about robots and artificial life. And he did it all with some curious and unique adaptations of his time—nuclear powered cars and ships with gravatic drives.
This bed, too, is simple and straightforward, but still has a lot to say. The headboard—made from two similar planks—spaced evenly and boldly at the head of the bed. Just high enough to keep your pillow from sliding under the headboard, and the two together provide a great surface to pile up the pillows and lean back.
